    Do Regular Exercise Daily

Exercise is extremely beneficial and one of the most cost-effective ways of naturally relieving your stress. Exercise releases certain "Feel-Good" hormones such as Endorphin which is a natural painkiller and helps to get rid of stress. Endorphin also helps you to fall asleep so that your body gets adequate rest which further helps to alleviate the stress in your body.

You don't necessarily need to get an expensive gym membership to exercise effectively. You can do the following exercises at home or at a park for free and at your own comfort.

    Running

Running is a great cheap exercise. It is a great social exercise as well where you can run with your friends or family members so that you don't feel bored. Running and socialization at the same time will release hormones such as endorphin and dopamine which will act synergistically to relieve your stress naturally. Just get your favourite pair of jogging shoes and hit the road. You don't even need to buy those expensive branded jogging shoes. Any joggings shoes that are comfortable to your feet, provide support to your heel and Achilles tendon and provides good traction is good enough for running. Just make sure to run for at least 30 minutes a day.

    Yoga

Yoga is another natural way you can relieve the stress in your body. Sometimes slowing your motion down, consciously controlling your breathing and movement is all it takes to get rid of the tension in your body and mind. All it takes is just a yoga mat and some basic knowledge of what to do. Fortunately for us, there are plenty of free instructional videos on the web on yoga for beginners! Watch some videos and start doing yoga! You won't regret it.

    Walk

In case you cannot run, hopefully, you can still walk. It is not physically possible for people with osteoarthritis to run. A better option for them would be to walk, especially in a park. Walking, although a low impact exercise, will still release endorphin and other chemicals which will naturally alleviate your stress levels.

    Peddle-Exercise

In case you neither want to run or walk, you can opt for some low-impact peddle exercisers which will reduce the strain on your knee or hip but still help you to get your heart rates up. Even though this requires an external device it is still a good option for those with hip or knee issues such as osteoarthritis.

    Refine Your Diet

Diet plays an important role in determining your health status and how your body manages stress. Having a properly balanced diet ensures that your body gets enough macro and micronutrients that are essential for proper functioning of organ systems in a proper holistic manner.

Studies revealed that in the US only about 33% of adults eat enough fruits and only about 27% of adults eat enough vegetables. Eating unhealthy foods such as fast foods release a high amount of free radicals which cause a high degree of damage to cells resulting in an accelerated ageing process and decreased ability of the body to handle stress. That is why it is important to have a balanced diet.

Many people take supplements such as multivitamins to cover up the deficit but it is important to recognize that vitamins produced synthetically may not have the same effect as those originating from natural sources. So if you are taking some form of vitamin supplements make sure it has an organic origin.

    Improve your lifestyle

One of the biggest ways you can reduce your stress levels is by improving your lifestyle. Our busy schedule often means skipping breakfast, working late and sleeping less. All of these puts even more stress on us and may even lead to burn out. Here are a few tips you can follow to decrease the stress on your body.

    Eat a proper breakfast

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day and there are very good reasons for it! When you wake up from sleep your body has gone through without nutrients for a long period of time and now it needs fuel to start up! That is why it is called "Breakfast"!

Our brain, which is only about 2 per cent of our body weight, utilizes about 20 per cent of our daily calories! What it means is that it needs food, especially glucose which is a simple form of carbohydrate, to function efficiently and effectively. That is why when you are starting your day in the morning you need to make sure to eat a proper breakfast so that your brain and the whole body has enough calories to burn in order to function properly. Otherwise, you end up being drowsy and the body has to find alternative sources of energy in order to function which are not as effective and this ultimately puts even more stress in your body.

So make sure to have a proper breakfast in the morning to be able to effectively handle the stress of the day.

    Get adequate sleep

Sleep is extremely vital for staying healthy and leading a stress-free life.

After a whole day of working hard if you do not give your body adequate rest your body will start failing and will not have enough strength to fight not only the mental stress but also the physical stress of your day to day life.

Getting proper and peaceful ensures that your body has recovered sufficiently from the daily stress and is ready for another good day! Not getting enough sleep results in decreased cognitive abilities and decreased ability of the body to fight off infections.

So make sure you get a proper sleep at night to reduce stress naturally.

Another health benefit of getting a good night's sleep:
Sleeping adequately at night may also help to boost your metabolism and help your lose weight!

Every weekend make sure to visit the nature because nature helps to uplift your spirit reduce the stress in your body.

Studies have found that the green colour of nature is soothing and has a calming effect on the mind and the body.

Visiting the nature also provides fresh oxygen to your body which also helps you to recover from the stresses of daily life.

You may also paint certain walls of your house or room green to mimic the soothing effect of nature. It will help you to unwind and relieve the stress.

    Do Meditation Regularly

Meditation is the practice of concentrating one's mind on a particular thought, object or activity such as breathing pattern to achieve a calm and stress-free mind.

Stress by definition is the physical response of the body to different stressors but how the mind reacts to it defines whether the stress is eustress or distress. That is why it is important to strengthen the mind in order to better handle the stresses of life.

Meditation helps you to calm your mind, find inner peace and find better solutions to the problems of daily life.

Meditation allows you to become self-aware. It helps you to better understand yourself and your surroundings. Instead of going in auto-pilot mode you start developing a conscious mind and helps you to live more in the present instead of worrying unnecessarily about the past or the future.

You will be better able to handle the negative thoughts in your mind and replace them with positive and productive thoughts.

The best part is you do not need to join any fancy yoga class or course to learn to do meditation. Just like everything else, there are tons of free and useful instructional videos on how to do meditation to reduce stress naturally and effectively.
