11 Ways to Keep Your Brain Active and Healthy

If our mind remains healthy then our body also remains healthy. The health of the mind is as important as the health of the body. It is our minds that first response to any issue and so a person can not always be good with physical fitness and manual work if his spiritual or mental health is not up to the mark. We have some awesome ways to keep your brain sharp and active.





    Keep Calm


    Most of the time we worry about ourselves. What will happen to me in the future? What should I do or not? But it is extremely important that we do not get carried away and stay calm. Sit down and think of yourself as an eight-year-old boy or a girl. Ask yourself questions about yourself and consider yourself as selfless. Try to understand yourself. Ask your mind to be calm and stable. Just a little later you will realize that your mind has calmed down. Whenever you get upset, keep doing this.

    Meditate


    Sit on a chair and keep your feet on the floor. Close your eyes and try to imagine an electrode is entering your body and sipping all the bad things in your body. You realize that you will feel very light after some time. The time you do this you will need a quiet place. Afterwards, you can master it at any place such as - office, cafe, streets. This is an amusement to keep the mind calm.

    Exercise


    You should exercise at least half an hour a day not only to keep your body active but also to keep your mind fresh. Exercise releases certain hormones such as endorphin that will elevate your mood and make you feel better.

You can not force yourself to forgive. You will realize yourself when you are ready to forgive and when the time is right do not hang on to the thing. Let go and you will feel a great sensation of relief.

    Eat a favourite meal





    Occasionally eat your favourite foods. Eat alone or with someone. Good taste is very useful to keep your mind healthy.

    Keep a pet


    Pets especially dogs can help alleviate a lot of stress. Research has shown that playing with pets can help reduce the level of stress hormone cortisol and increase the level of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin. Playing with a pet also helps to keep your blood pressure under control.

    Paint


    Start painting like small children. Keep your mind closed and meditate for a while. Then, to activate your brain, draw a circle on the paper and divide it into eight parts. Fill the circle with your desired colour in these eight parts. And then go nuts with your brush. This will activate the creative part of your brain and help to keep it sharp.

    Plant trees


    Planting trees is a very good habit. Planting trees not only helps you feel fresh but also helps the nature. You get fresh air from the garden at home. Moreover, you get fresh vegetables for cooking.

    Smile


    Psychologists advised everyone to laugh at least 30 minutes of life every day. So if you get a chance to laugh, do not stop yourself!

    Listen to songs and sing!


    Listen to songs or sing your favourite songs. The mind will feel good and the mood will be fixed. Recent studies have shown that listening to sad songs can actually help you feel better!

    Travel


    You can have fun while you are on the go. The best way to alleviate boredom is to stay busy. Go out with your loved ones or friends. This will not only make you feel better but also strengthen your relationship with your loved ones. You can ride longboard alongside with your friends as well.

    Above all, try to be free of frustration and anxiety. Remember, no matter where you are, there is no one else in the world like you. There is still much left for you to give to the world. So stay healthy and have fun.
